Monitoring
Q. Is monitoring of my security system done by a local monitoring center?
A. No, while this may seem to be advantageous in some ways, monitoring by a single center is actually less desirable. Should a component of the single monitoring center fail, it is possible your home or business would not be protected.
ADT Monitoring is done by a network of five different ADT monitoring centers spread across the United States. Monitoring handled in this manner assures your home or business is continuously monitored by leveraging multiple resources.
Q. What happens when my alarm is activated?
A. Your system is directly connected to ADT’s monitoring center. When they receive the emergency signal they contact the location sending the signal and the first person designated on the contact list. If they confirm an emergency or cannot verify the alarm, they contact the appropriate emergency authority (police, fire, or medical). After dispatching, ADT continues to try and reach you or someone on your contact list.
Q. What can I do about false alarms?
A. You should make sure that family members, employees, and others accessing the system know how to use it properly and how to avoid causing false alarms. Sometimes false alarms are caused by severe weather, faulty building construction, or other forces that no one can control. Installation
Q. Are there any benefits to having my house already pre-wired for a security system?
A. Yes! If your home is pre-wired for a security system by anyone, Titan Security Solutions will install a security system for $99 and arm every door and window. This is a significant savings!
Q. Couldn’t I just buy a smoke detector at the local home center?
A. Sure you could. However, most retail smoke detectors only detect the presence of smoke. Titan Security Solutions uses DSC smoke/heat detectors which not only detect the presence of smoke but also the presence of heat.
